Focusing On Our Future, Today

The need for specific skills in our workplace is essential. Attracting and acquiring new talent is a highly competitive field with more students leaving school and attending University than ever before.

The benefits of apprentices are apparent, the ability to train fresh talent and integrate this into a unique working culture has its obvious advantages and are one of the best opportunities for young people to learn valuable workplace related skills.

Meet James…
James joined us in August 2016 as a shy 16 year old school leaver who wanted to work in Engineering. He spent his first year at MGTS where he learnt the basic skills of the trade. His 2nd year was spent working back at our Bayton Road site, where he was placed with mentors and had regular visits from his learning assesors.

James has now completed his apprenticeship and has not only become and integral part of the maintenance team, he’s also grown in confidence and is a great asset to our business.

What does James Think?
“I joined ABM straight from school with the ambition of completing my apprenticeship in maintenance engineering. Since starting with the business, I have managed to develop my confidence as a person and gain knowledge and skills to help me become a skilled electrical bias technician. Every day I have the opportunity to learn and develop my skill set further with the help of my mentors and the management team. I know that I am in the best position to build a successful career.”
